2003 Bull Run Lake Trip

After a really fun backpacking trip with Sarah in the Desolation Wilderness the previous weekend, I was ready for more fun in the wilderness and experimentation with ultralight backpacking concepts. Sarah wanted to relax (what's that?), so she bowed out of this trip, and my father, Barry, couldn't take Friday off of work. Not wanting to drive all the way to the Sierras and back for just one night of backpacking, I resolved to go it alone on Friday and meet up with Barry on Saturday.
