Pack:
Kelty Satori 4500Removed frame sheet, stays, load lifters, detachable pockets (but not the lid, as that makes a fine daypack), and cut off extra strap length - waaaaay lighter than it was on the Ohlone trip!

Water:
MSR 4l water bladderw/hydrapack attachment and camp spout attachment
Pur guide filterin ziplock bags, with weight and float removed
Iodine/anti-iodine tabletsin ziplock bag. I should have kept them in separate bags, as the iodine tablets discolored the anti-iodine tablets to the point that its difficult to tell which is which!

Menu:
DayMealMenuNotes
Thu:Breakfast:Restaurant!
Lunch:Chicken and spicy sausage panini sandwichesbrought from City Grill in Fremont - yumm!
Dinner:Rice and beans, chicken, cheese burritosI think this will become our staple Day 1 dinner
Fri:Breakfast:Granola w/instant milkThis was very tasty, but granola is pretty space-intensive
Lunch:Salami and cheese pitasThese worked well, except that our cheese was too natural and separted and coated most of our bear cannister with a light oil, and the pitas don't fit well into the bear cannister, causing pita breakage. Next time use processed cheese and tortillas instead?
Dinner:Pita pizzas (boboli packets, cheese, salami on pita)This was really tasty! The only issue was the aforementioned breakage of the pita pockets in the bear cannister.
Sat:Breakfast:Hummus, cheese on tortillasNot a repeat meal - too dry and entirely the wrong flavor for the morning
Lunch:chicken salad rollups w/tortillasI liked these - easy and light!
Dinner:PastaThis recipe, from Lipsmackin' Backpackin', proved excellent - defintely a do-again'er
Sun:Breakfast:Granola w/instant milk
 Lunch:Snacks
 Dinner:Restaurant!
